Peel, core, and quarter fruit. Add all ingredients to heavy, large pot. Simmer over low heat until fruit is tender and wine mixture has reduced by half. Serve fruit and syrup over ice cream, puddings, pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, or enjoy by themselves. Place in a jar for a great gift.
