Place marinade ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly. Add chicken and marinade in a ziplock bag or large bowl and cover. Refrigerate 4 hours minimum, up to 24 hours.
Prepare grill for indirect cooking, or preheat oven to 400°F. Cook chicken on skewers or in single layer on greased broiler pan.
If grilling, place skewered chicken over indirect heat and turn every two minutes to cook all sides (approx 8 minutes total). Remove and cover, allowing to rest briefly.
If broiling, cook on top rack for 6 minutes and then turn meat for an additional 4 minutes of broiling. Serve immediately.
